Result

Enter the number of seats and room measurements to check if the sofa fits.

How to use it

  1. Enter the length and width of the room and choose which of the two the sofa will run along.
  2. Choose the number of seats.
  3. Check whether it fits and the maximum sofa length for that side.

What it works out and how

The tool compares the space with the usual widths for each type: 150 to 170 cm for a 2-seater, 190 to 220 for a 3-seater and 250 to 280 for a 4-seater. It adds a clear margin at each end of the recommended length, 90 cm by default, and compares the total with the side of the room you chose. It does not check the depth of the sofa or the walking space in front: measure those separately. These are indicative ranges: check the spec sheet of the actual model before buying.

Frequently asked questions

How much space between the sofa and the coffee table?

Between 40 and 45 cm: close enough to reach a cup and far enough to get your legs through.

How deep is a sofa?

Most are between 85 and 100 cm. Deep-seat models or those with a chaise take up considerably more.

Will it get through the door?

That is a separate check. Measure the door, the hallway and the stairs, and use the furniture-through-door checker.
