What it works out and how
The tool goes through the sizes common in Spain: 90, 105 and 135 cm wide by 190 long, and 150, 160 and 180 cm by 200. For each one it checks that, with the bed in place, 60 cm stays clear on each side, which is the minimum for getting past and making the bed comfortably.
Frequently asked questions
What width do two people need?
135 cm is tight; 150 cm is the comfortable standard for two adults, and 160 or 180 cm if the room allows.
190 or 200 cm long?
The guideline is a mattress about 10–15 cm longer than the tallest sleeper. From 1.80 m tall, 200 cm is the better choice.
Can I push the bed against the wall?
Yes, and it saves space, but whoever sleeps on that side has to climb over and making the bed gets more awkward.
