How to use it
- Set how many monitors you use: one, two or three.
- Fill in the other details the tool asks for, such as screen size or the space available.
- Read the recommended desk width and depth.
What it works out and how
The recommendation starts from the width the monitors take up side by side, plus room for keyboard, mouse and resting arms. The suggested depth ranges from 60 to 80 cm, which is what it takes to keep the screen at a comfortable distance from your eyes. For three monitors the recommended width rises to about 220–240 cm.
Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum depth for a desk?
60 cm is enough for a laptop or a small monitor. For 27-inch screens or larger, 70–80 cm lets you push them far enough back.
How high should the desk be?
Standard height is around 72–75 cm. What matters is that your elbows sit at about 90 degrees with relaxed shoulders.
Does a monitor arm save space?
Yes. It frees the surface taken by the stand and lets you move the screen closer or further, which helps on shallow desks.
