Result

Enter the wall area to calculate the sheets and screws needed.

How to use it

  1. Enter the dimensions of the wall or ceiling to cover.
  2. Check the sheet size and the waste percentage.
  3. Read the number of sheets and the approximate number of screws.

What it works out and how

The area is increased by the waste allowance (10% by default) and divided by the area of one sheet, which defaults to the standard 1.2 × 2.4 m, that is 2.88 m². The result is rounded up. Screws are estimated at 22 per sheet. If you are boarding both sides of a partition, double the area.
