Open Graph Preview Checker

Free tool

Paste the HTML of a page and preview how its card will look when shared on Facebook, Twitter/X or LinkedIn: title, description, image and URL. Everything is processed in your browser: nothing is uploaded to RA Software Apps servers.

Results

Paste the HTML (or load the sample) and press Check.

How to use it

  1. Copy the page HTML, including its full head.
  2. Paste it into the tool.
  3. Review which Open Graph and Twitter Card tags were found and how the card would look when shared.

What it works out and how

The tool pulls og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url from the HTML, along with their Twitter Card counterparts, and builds a preview of the card. It flags the missing ones, which is the usual reason a link gets shared with no image or a generic title.

Frequently asked questions

What size should the image be?

The usual reference is 1200 by 630 pixels, with a ratio close to 1.91:1. That way it shows large and uncropped on most platforms.

I changed the image and the old one still shows. Why?

Social networks cache the card. You have to force a fresh read with each platform's debugging tool.

Do I need Twitter tags if I already have Open Graph?

X falls back to Open Graph when its own tags are missing, but twitter:card is still needed to choose the large-image card format.
