Estimated boxes and materials

How to use it

  1. Choose the size of the home, from studio to four or more bedrooms.
  2. Say whether you own few things, a normal amount or a lot.
  3. Read the estimated boxes, rolls of tape and metres of bubble wrap.

What it works out and how

The estimate starts from a base figure per home: 20 boxes for a studio, 30 for one bedroom, 45 for two, 65 for three and 85 for four or more. That number is multiplied by 0.7 if you own little, by 1 for a normal amount and by 1.4 if you have a lot. It also works out one roll of tape per 12 boxes and 0.4 m² of bubble wrap per box.

Frequently asked questions

What box size should I use?

Mix sizes: small for books and heavy items, medium for kitchenware and large only for light things such as bedding.

How heavy should a box be?

Try not to exceed 20 kg. A large box full of books cannot be lifted and ends up splitting at the base.

Is furniture included?

No. The figure covers what goes in boxes; furniture and appliances are counted separately when choosing the van.
