What it works out and how
The number of tables is guests divided by seats per table, rounded up. Chairs are the guests plus the spare percentage you set, also rounded up. For 100 guests at tables of 8 that is 13 tables and, with 5% spare, 105 chairs.
Frequently asked questions
How many people fit at a round table?
At a 150 cm table, 8 people comfortably. At 180 cm, 10; squeezed, 12.
What are spare chairs for?
Late confirmations, unexpected plus-ones, staff such as the photographer or musicians, and the odd chair that arrives broken.
How much room does each table take?
Including chairs and aisle, allow about 3 by 3 metres per round table of 8 to 10 people.
