AI CV Screener

Free tool

Upload a CV in PDF and the AI extracts the key data — experience, skills, and a CV quality score — in a few seconds. The file is processed in memory and never stored.

How the AI CV screener works

Screening CVs by hand is slow and inconsistent: every recruiter notices different things, and it's easy to overlook a valid candidate in a stack of twenty resumes. This tool uses a language model (AI) to read a CV in PDF and return, in seconds, a structured summary with the data usually looked for first: name, contact details, years of experience and key skills, plus an indicative score for the overall quality of the document itself.

It's important to understand exactly what that score measures. The "score" doesn't compare the CV against a specific job posting — this version doesn't take a job description as input — it evaluates how clearly and coherently the CV itself communicates the person's experience and skills. A well-structured CV with clear data scores high even if the profile doesn't match a particular role; matching against a vacancy is a possible future addition, not what the tool does today.

The extraction system has deliberate limits: it only processes PDFs with selectable text (not scanned images, since this version has no optical character recognition), and the AI is explicitly instructed not to invent data that isn't in the document or infer sensitive personal traits. Even so, no automated analysis replaces human review: this tool helps speed up an initial screening pass, not make the final hiring decision.

You can also try other free RA Software tools: the AI Website Audit for your website, or the Moodle Gradebook Interpreter if you work at a school.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does the quality score (score) mean?

It measures how clearly and coherently the CV communicates the person's experience and skills, on a scale from 1 to 10. It doesn't compare the CV to a specific job posting or predict whether the person will fit a role — it only scores the quality of the document as written.

Do you store my CV or the data it contains?

No. The PDF is processed in memory during analysis and is never stored on disk or in a database; the CV text, name, email or phone number are never logged either. We can't guarantee absolute security — no tool can — but the design deliberately avoids retaining CV content beyond what's strictly necessary to produce the result.

What file formats are supported?

Only PDF with selectable text, up to 2 MB. If the PDF is a scanned image (a photographed or scanned CV with no text layer), the tool detects that and warns you instead of trying to analyze it blindly, since this version has no optical character recognition (OCR).

Is Premium access really unlimited?

Premium access (€19.99, one-time payment linked to your email) removes the free limit of 3 analyses every 24 hours, but includes a fair-use limit of 200 analyses per day to prevent automated or abusive use. That limit sits far above any normal usage — it never affects someone using the tool to review CVs manually.
